Members are selected/elected by the Service Unit and appointed by the Service Unit Manager. The appointment will be confirmed by the GSCCC Board of Directors. If the Member resigns or cannot continue in the position, the Alternate will become the Member with a term that continues in that capacity through the original term of the Member. Alternates serve when the Member is unavailable. In some cases, both Members and Alternates may be invited to participate in meetings but in voting situations, the Alternate votes only when filling in for the Member.
The term begins at the selection and continues through the third Annual Meeting (approximately 3 years) or until graduation from High School for girls.
